LIHWAP WATER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)
The cost and availability of water differ considerably across states, but the Low-Income Housing Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) plays a vital role in providing emergency support to low-income households nationwide. This program ensures that such households do not have to make a difficult choice between paying for water services and fulfilling other essential needs like housing, food, and medication.
